Prenatal visits are typically informal ones and you feel much like chatting with friends or your teacher during clinical exams. The initial visit lasts for a few hours wherein we get to know you well. Similar to a typical obstetric practice, you would have a basing testing and a clinical exam. Your detailed medical history is recorded and you would be provided with a list of changes that you can expect in the initial months. Additionally, your fears, concerns, hopes and queries are discussed by providing you with individual attention based on specific needs of your family.

The progress of the pregnancy is monitored on each subsequent visit by listening to baby’s heartbeat, measurement of the belly and considering other vital signs. Your diet, sleep patterns, exercise, stress levels, family dynamics and other laboratory test results that may impact your baby’s and your health would be reviewed.
